Well folks, I decided on iRacing for my sim for now. $9 for 3 months and an extra car isn't bad, and despite rFactor and others maybe being cheaper or more options, I really wanted the structures multiplayer iRacing has to offer.

That said, I just raced my first official race, and grabbed 3rd! Was a pretty boring race, started off fine, then in turn 2 of Okayama there was some touching between cars, and then on no position changes :(

Hopefully I'll find a few more populated races that see a bit more changes.

Welcome! I love iRacing, although I've been too busy with work to play much lately. I found that in the beginning it's good to hang back off the start, let everyone crash in turn 1 or 2, and then advance in position. Much easier way to get your SR up! lol

Yeah I kinda tried, but one dude in front of me actually braked way too hard so that caused issues. lol.

I definitely need to find a league or club? to play with though.

There should be regional clubs/leagues you can join. I haven't done any within my club/league, but I plan on doing it once work is occupying less of my time and I have the energy to play when I get home.
